Owner-operators place high value of ability to take their pets with them on the road

In a Truckstop.com survey conducted in light of National Take Your Pet to Work Week, independent owner-operators conveyed that taking their pet on the road with them was a key benefit in their chosen profession. A total of 56% of those surveyed reported that they travel with their pets - 66% of that portion claiming it was for companionship while 19% reported their pets were there for emotional support.

The findings also reported that 54% of those owner-operators surveyed would reconsider their profession if they weren’t able to have their pets with them. The most per-friendly states of the country to travel with your furry friends are Connecticut, California, Montana, Virginia, and Oregon.
