Capitol Christmas Tree hauled by hauled by Hardy Brothers Trucking to DC

On a Kenworth T680 Next Gen, Hardy Brothers Trucking carried the 78-ft. tall red spruce called "Ruby” from the Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina to the Capitol building. On Nov. 29th, the tree will be on Capitol's West Lawn for a tree lighting ceremony.

Hardy Brothers Trucking employs more than 100 drivers and the husband-and-wife driver team of Harold “Ed” Kingdon Jr. and Deborah Z. Kingdon were trusted with the haul. The tree was taken on a 14-day tour with this year’s tour theme “From the Mountains to the Sea” along with “From the National Forests in North Carolina” displayed on the truck’s driver and passenger sides for viewing.
