Freight broker bonds protect the carrier & the shipper

Hauling large quantities of freight over long distances does not come without its risk. For a broker to legally operate, they are required to obtain a freight bond.

Freight bonds are utilized to mitigate any potential risks a broker may run into when hiring a carrier on behalf of a customer. Every year, the FMCSA review’s the previous year’s rule and requirements and has the opportunity to modify procedures. It’s important to keep up-to-date with regulations.
