Iceland Declares State of Emergency Amid Fears of Volcanic Eruption in Reykjanes Peninsula


Iceland has declared a state of emergency in response to a series of earthquakes on the Reykjanes peninsula, raising concerns about a potential volcanic eruption. Evacuation plans are in place for the town of Grindavik, with authorities monitoring seismic activity closely. The Icelandic Meteorological Office warns that an eruption could occur within a few days, and there has been an accumulation of magma at a depth of five kilometers.
