Step it up, senior management! Sustainability is up to you

Amazon Business recently conducted a study that involved researching employees across Europe of all ages. The question of sustainability was asked - do employees want more sustainable products available for their own use? A total of 47% said that sustainable purchasing is important for real change, but less than a third said that they actually consider this when purchasing items for themselves.

Sourcing guidelines pertaining to sustainability in the supply chain generally focus on ensuring that the products and materials being sourced are produced in an environmentally and socially responsible manner. These guidelines may include requirements for suppliers to reduce their carbon footprint, conserve natural resources, and minimize waste. They may also include guidelines for fair labor practices, such as safe working conditions and fair wages. Additionally, many sustainability sourcing guidelines include provisions for traceability, so that companies can track where their products and materials are coming from, and ensure that they meet sustainability standards throughout the supply chain.
