The new zero-emission hydrogen electric commercial vehicle is here

Glasgow-based Hydrogen Vehicle Systems (HVS) has unveiled its new clean-sheet-designed hydrogen commercial vehicle, a 40-ton zero-emission HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle). This vehicle would be the first indigenous UK-designed and developed hydrogen-electric HGV on the market - a major goal of the company.

HVS’ strategic investment partner is the service station and grocery corporation, EG Group, along with Innovate UK, Scottish Enterprise, and Energy Technology Partnership. HVS CEO Jawad Khursheed has highlighted the company’s desire to supply customers with the most advanced HGV in the sector.

Predicted to grow to $372.29 billion by 2030, the cold storage market will need more energy-efficient cold storage warehousing. Global revenue estimates for cold storage round out at about 77.91% in frozen storage. There is a major need to procure in-house storage solutions for manufacturers’ and distributors’ operations. A data-centric approach is one way to produce a customized solution that ensures optimized storage space for future business growth.
