ATA launches Women in Motion program, aimed to attract more female truckers

👩 With only 8% of professional truck drivers being women and only 4% of all diesel technicians being women, the American Trucking Associations (ATA) is looking to change that.

The ATA is launching a new program called “Women in Motion (WIM)” - designed to highlight the achievements of women in the trucking industry and hopefully encourage more women to consider developing a trucking career. The ATA says that the program will also put a major focus on the issue women face on the road and address common issues within regulatory lines that specifically affect women in trucking.
