CARB announces new zero-emission forklift requirements by 2026


🔋 The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has announced new forklift regulations for that state, affirming the push for all-electric, zero-emission vehicles… even indoors.

CARB says that they will ban the sales of any non-zero-emissions forklifts by 2026, leaving many to wonder what improvements and challenges this will bring to the industry. At that point, any forklifts that do not fall in line with zero-emissions requirements that are thirteen years old or older will need to be removed from operation. Fleets and warehouses will need to plan accordingly in order to comply with these new regulations.
