DHL Express Unveils Sustainable Americas Hub in Atlanta to Strengthen Global Connections and Service Capabilities
DHL Express has opened its Americas region hub at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, investing $84.5 million to enhance its connections and service capabilities. The state-of-the-art hub, spanning 100,000 square feet, establishes direct links between 19 cities in the Southeastern U.S. and global markets, with future plans to add flight connections to Hong Kong, Mexico, the UK, and Puerto Rico. The hub prioritizes sustainability, generating a significant portion of its energy through rooftop solar panels, utilizing renewable energy sources, and incorporating environmentally friendly features throughout its operations.
DHL Express is set to invest $192 million in constructing an aircraft maintenance facility at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), the location of its primary U.S. air hub.
