Embark simulates routine traffic stop of AI-truck on public freeway



Autonomous-tech company Embark is on a mission to prove to its dissenters that pulling over an autonomous truck won’t be as much of a challenge as it’s being made out to be. Working with the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Travis County Sheriff’s Office, Embark simulated a routine traffic stop on a public highway.

The public demonstration was meant to highlight protocols and standard operating procedures that have been put into place for any future issues while trucks are implemented “in the field.”
