🇯🇵 Port of LA teams up with Japan ports to create a green shipping corridor. 

Agreements between LA and the ports of Tokyo and Yokohama were signed during the 2023 California Japan Clean Energy Trade Mission, creating a Green Shipping Corridor (GSC) partnership. This initiative will reduce emissions along the trade routes between the ports and promote zero-carbon ships making those journeys. Los Angeles has already made similar agreements with the Ports of Shanghai and Singapore. Similar agreements are likely on the horizon along the Pacific Ocean.
