Port of Long Beach TEU volume has 2nd biggest month in over a century

🚢 The Port of Long Beach had its strongest month in May, processing 890,989 twenty-foot equivalent units last month.

While this is still a 1.8% decline from the month of May 2021, it is the second-busiest month in the port’s 111-year history. The port has been dangling a “Container Dwell Fee” over the heads of trucking carriers working at the ports, withholding implementing the fee as cargo continues to flux.
