Rest easy: the famous Costco hot dogs will not face a price hike
According to Costco club’s CEO, Craig Jelinek, the chain’s famous hot dogs will not receive a price hike. Several of the other food court item staples however DO have growing price tags amid decade-high inflation, such as the chicken bake and the 20-ounce soda.
Members of the club can also sigh with relief while their membership fees remain the same… for now. The vast majority of Costco’s profits come from membership fees rather than the actual selling of products. While other retailers have spoken about weakening consumers and excess inventory, Costco has boasted huge sales numbers this year.
