Santa Ana Wind-Driven Wildfire Forces Thousands to Evacuate Near Los Angeles


A wildfire driven by strong Santa Ana winds swept through rural land southeast of Los Angeles, leading to the evacuation of approximately 4,000 people. The fire had destroyed three structures and damaged six others, with evacuation orders and warnings still in effect. Despite a relatively calm fire season due to wet weather earlier in the year, experts warned that California could still face significant fire challenges if dry conditions and unfavorable weather conditions align later in the fall.
