U.S. cannot rely on The CHIPS Act for semiconductors for quite some time


📲 The CHIPS Act cannot be the only step for U.S. semiconductor world domination.

Regardless of the legislation likely to increase American output of microelectronics manufacturing capacity by over 1 million wafers per month… that kind of improvement will take quite some time. A mature workforce will need to be developed and new facilities need to be built. Until that day arrives, the United States will be forced to remain heavily dependent on foreign suppliers of semiconductor chips - specifically China.
