Infrastructure Bill Finally Passes – What’s in it?
Friday, November 5th, the House finally passed the so-called bi-partisan infrastructure bill. The final tally, 228-to-206, showed however that the bill could hardly be labeled bi-partisan. The nearly 3,000 page bill contains $550 billion in new spending. The total $1.2 trillion figure includes annual funding allocated to highways and various infrastructure projects.
There's a new media narrative for job quits: empowered workers
The latest government data shows the number of people quitting their jobs surged to a new record in August. Nearly 4.3 million people quit – that’s 2.9% of the workforce. The previous record was in April at 2.8%, almost 4 million people. It’s important to get this right. Businesses needed to respond to job quits. And that response would be shaped by what people believed caused the resignations.
