California’s “top dog” spot for global goods entry into the states has been taken over by east coast ports

It’s long been known that California’s San Pedro Bay was home to the two largest ports in the United States, boasting the majority of container volume from Asia at Long Beach and Los Angeles ports. However, persistent supply chain bottlenecks at the ports and worries of labor disruptions while the unionized dock workers negotiate a labor contract with the Pacific Maritime Association have led many shippers to a different coast: the East one.

Online pet retailer Chewy sees net income of $2.3 million in Q3 results

In a revelation that has somewhat stunned analysts who have been predicting a loss for the quarter, Chewy stepped up to the plate. Investors didn’t jump the gun with net income profits were announced, but the company’s investments in logistics practices have seemed to pay off.
