2023 Women in Trucking Index Reveals 12% of Commercial Drivers are Women


Women constitute 12% of commercial drivers in the United States, according to the 2023 Women in Trucking Index. The report also highlights the increasing number of women in various roles across the transportation industry, with 44% of dispatchers and 32% in C-suite or executive positions. Additionally, a separate report by Gartner shows that women now make up 41% of the supply chain workforce, with 26% holding C-suite and executive roles, but there are still challenges in recruiting and retaining women in frontline positions.
