Are trucks ready for hotter roads due to climate change?

Hotter roads due to climate change have never been more apparent than before this summer’s heatwave that tore through Great Britain. The bustling A14 highway in Cambridge, England was shut down to a strange ridge in the warming asphalt. But it’s not just that - freeways, runways, and train tracks are all buckling under the heat of one of the hottest summers on record.

The supply chain depends on roads and the like to get goods from point A to point B. The more these roads fail due to climate change challenges, the more inaction tends to cost the entire supply chain. One solution being proposed is developing more advanced and populated delivery drone fleets to provide the services trucks and trains may not be able to do safely.
