The Phase 3 standards would significantly reduce carbon emissions and smog-forming pollutants, addressing climate change and air pollution. While the EPA envisions electric vehicles displacing two-thirds of current commercial truck production, attorney Joe Trione raises concerns about achieving ambitious targets due to challenges in sourcing batteries and expanding production.
