The flow of trade between Mexico and the United States is facing significant disruptions as Mexican officials work to address the surge in migrants attempting to reach the US. These efforts have led to the suspension of some rail operations and truck processing at major border crossings. The number of migrants attempting to cross the US-Mexico border has seen a sharp increase, with over 8,600 migrants reported to have crossed within a 24-hour period. To control the situation, Mexican authorities have taken measures to prevent migrants from boarding freight trains bound for the US and are collaborating with US Customs & Border Protection (CBP) and Ferromex, Mexico's largest rail operator.
