Retailers and carriers battle for pricing power


Over the past few years, shipping prices have skyrocketed due to massive e-commerce growth and a pandemic pushing many customers to begin ordering from home. People spent less on services and more on consumer goods. For some time, carriers wreaked havoc on the industry by taking advantage of the capacity squeeze. But now, retailers are fighting for the pricing power again.

Unfortunately, a bullwhip effect is hindering their efforts.
