No, not literally - but the US Department of Transportation has bestowed a $273.9 million grant through its new Rural Surface Transportation Grant program. Being spread out among twelve projects, the program is meant to fund connectivity and regional economic growth for those who are living in rural areas. The $1.2 trillion Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is also playing a role in funding these natives over the next five years.
