The Federal Reserve promises that they will slow inflation, no matter what

The Federal Reserve is working overtime to convince the public a recession can be avoided. But will it be enough?

Taming inflation has been the Fed’s top priority. Currently, inflation is now at 8.6%, a four-decade high, and well above the goal of 2% a year. Chair Jerome Powell told Congress that consumers in America seem calmed… for now. He continued to insist that the Fed would do whatever it takes to succeed at reaching that 2% goal.
