UK railroad strike over pay disputes begins July 27th

One month ago, the United Kingdom faced the largest railway strike in three decades - the result was a train network catastrophe. Now the National Union of Rail, Maritime, and Transport Workers is threatening another round of travel chaos by scheduling a walk-out on July 27th over ongoing pay raise disputes and working conditions for its members.

A pay raise was offered to the union leaders but rejected because of stipulations that would’ve “drastically changed the working lives” of its members.
