Federal Railroad Administration grants $2 million to rail-related suicide prevention

The Federal Railroad Administration announced on Monday in a statement that trespassing and suicide prevention grants would be funded to 25 different projects, including educational outreach for those hoping to reduce railroad-related suicides. Amounting $2 million in grants, the goal is to fund these projects in communities where there is a high amount of trespassing and suicide casualties.

California, Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, North Carolina, New York, and Ohio are some of the states where these grants are being forwarded.
