International Coalition Launches 'Operation Prosperity Guardian' to Safeguard Red Sea Trade Routes


An international coalition of countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and others, has launched "Operation Prosperity Guardian" to counter Houthi rebels targeting commercial ships in the Red Sea. The initiative aims to protect vital trade routes in the region, as the Red Sea facilitates a significant portion of global trade. The U.S. is also considering whether to re-designate the Houthis as a terrorist organization, but no decision has been made yet. The move comes in response to recent Houthi attacks on commercial vessels in the area.
