McDonald's Sees Shift in Customer Demographics Amid Inflation and Price Hikes


McDonald's has revealed that it is gaining middle- and higher-income customers who are trading down to its menu while simultaneously losing lower-income diners due to high inflation. The fast-food chain plans to raise menu prices by approximately 10% this year, following a 10% increase the previous year. McDonald's reported strong results in the US, with same-store sales up 8.1%, driven by an increase in traffic among middle- and higher-income consumers seeking affordable options amid rising prices.
