Salmonella Outbreak Linked to Cantaloupes Prompts Warnings and Recalls in the U.S. and Canada


U.S. food safety officials are warning consumers against consuming certain cantaloupe products due to an ongoing salmonella outbreak. The outbreak has affected at least 117 people in 34 states, with 61 hospitalizations and two deaths reported, and it appears to be linked to Malichita or Rudy brand cantaloupes; similar concerns are being investigated in Canada.
