IMC attributed the issues to supply problems faced by certain foreign vendors, leading to insufficient inventory levels to sustain production. The situation highlights the risks of relying too heavily on a single supplier, emphasizing the importance of having a diversified supplier base to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
