Truck drivers with sleep disorders struggle with safety

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is the most undiagnosed and prevalent sleep disorder that plagues the transportation logistics industry. Rough estimates claim that 26%-30% of commercial drivers suffer from OSA, yet less than 15% of those individuals are being treated for the disorder.

Sleep disorders can cause dangerous situations, such as falling asleep at the wheel, impaired driver performance, or increased health implications such as diabetes and hypertension.
