La-Z-Boy announces big changes to supply chain strategy after to months-long backlogs

🛋 The furniture company La-Z-Boy is moving to improve its structural supply chain strategy after a backlog of orders threatens profits.

President and CEO Melinda Whittington announced the mission on a Q4 earnings call and laid out plans to expand factories to Mexico and shift procurement strategies in their global supplier network. The move comes as customized La-Z-Boy products that once took 4-6 weeks to deliver were now taking up to 7 months.
