A recent survey conducted by Vivian Health reveals that work-related stress remains prevalent, with nearly half of the respondents reporting job stress. Approximately 50% of participants have contemplated or actively sought opportunities in different industries over the past year. The industries ranked as the most stressful include medical and health services, financial services and accountancy, IT and telecoms, hospitality and leisure, education, media, marketing, advertising, PR, and sales, manufacturing, retail, transportation and distribution, and construction. Additionally, the survey highlights that workers between the ages of 25 and 34 have experienced a higher rate of stress-related absences compared to those aged 45 to 54. The study also discusses the stages of stress and burnout according to the Freudenberger model, ranging from a healthy honeymoon phase to habitual burnout, which includes chronic sadness, mental fatigue, and depression.
