North American Class 8 Truck Orders Experience Second Consecutive Year-Over-Year Increase in June

According to ACT Research, North American Class 8 truck orders rose by 4.5% year-over-year in June, marking the second consecutive month of growth. Despite the increase, orders remain seasonally soft, and industry experts anticipate that order intake will pick up once order books open for 2024. However, FTR Inc. reported a slight decline in Class 8 truck orders and noted that the level of order activity is still below replacement demand.
