Warm Christmas Sets Temperature Records in Twin Cities, Bringing Gray Holiday


Unusual warm weather in the Twin Cities, including record-breaking temperatures, has left residents experiencing a gray Christmas rather than the traditional white one. Christmas Eve set a record for the highest temperature ever recorded on that day in the Twin Cities, and Christmas Day broke temperature records as well, reaching 54 degrees. The warm temperatures were accompanied by rain, with some areas receiving up to three inches, but the ground was able to absorb it due to the lack of a solid freeze. While the warm December may continue, meteorologists are cautious about predicting the entire winter outlook.
